We will post the latest information concerning BMS here

May 2008
Dear parents and friends,

We are excited about the prospects for Brendon Montessori
School as we look forward to the future. We already have the most wonderful students, a highly dedicated and trained staff, and a tremendous core of dedicated families to ensure that the spirit of Brendon Montessori is protected and carries on. We already have everything that other schools aspire to, and now we are bringing to the mix a new plan for financial stability. The plan will include monthly reviews of our financial performance by a business consultant, and budget adjustments as needed to ensure fiscal health as we move forward. We are also working with one of the school';s biggest supporters to create an endowment fund to ensure the stability and longevity of the school.

At this time, we would like to clearly state in no uncertain terms that we will have a school in September 2008. We have commitments from one-third of our current families that their children will be with us again in September. We are confident that, as our plan becomes more concrete, we will continue to receive additional commitments from our current population. We have begun accepting applications from new families outside of our school community. This response has been positive, and we will continue to market ourselves to new families.

We continue to avidly pursue the Tom's Way property for the school, as well as our current location. In addition, we are looking into other options that will accommodate our timetable and needs. We are certain that one of these excellent choices will be a wonderful home for the school.

We wish to thank everyone for their continued support of the exciting prospects going forward. We plan on providing two services simultaneously to our students and their parents: a world-class education, and the financial stability necessary to ensure that education for perpetuity.

As we have all learned this year, a Montessori school is not the walls, the concrete or other physical attributes that define the school, but the teachers and children that are the essence of who we are and what we do!

Thank you very much,
Carolyn Sheeran, Erin Castle and Barbara Katavolos
